Hey Stefano! I really appreciate your comment man.
If you like your field, I recommend checking out YouTube and to search for creators on X who can help you put yourself out there in ways that will land you work. 2 years is enough experience to get going. The best way to show people you can do it is by showing them testimonials from past work you've done. If you've done good work in the past, you can reach out to those people for a quick 30 second video testimonial or instead, ask if they could write a few short sentences about their experience with you.
If you don't have the resources for this right now, you can offer your services for free to a few people, in exchange for an honest testimonial after you do good work for them.
From there, it's all about building and raising your rates as you go
If you are looking for a job change and know what you want to do, I recommend searching on X and youtube as well
A quick sidenote, my 20 years of experience was with all different jobs, and what I learned was to just trust myself, put myself out there, and give it my all. I wish I learned it sooner
I did manage to get a job as a property manager by telling the owner I could install a sink when he asked me. I knew nothing about installing a sink. I simply said yes, and then went on YouTube to learn how to do it.
I hope this helps you my friend, my DMS are always open for questions!
Hi Nick, thanks for taking the time to respond. That is some really useful advice from you and I am going to take it onboard. I am happy for you that you figured it out and decided to make the jump. Good luck on your journey, I will reach out if I have more questions.
That came at a good time.
I’ve been working for 2 and a half years, had 3 jobs in this time. I am in the process of deciding if I should stick with it or just go alone.
Difference is I have 2 years of experience, you have 20…
I know I’ll hold myself accountable, just not sure if I have the skillset yet. Although quickest way to learn is to just do it…
